A package from Singapore will ALWAYS put a smile across my face. If you could only see how happy I was when I received a note to collect my parcel...I was practically skipping to ICA.... Thanks Zhi!! *big hug from Stockholm to Singapore*
(I remember I had a big hug from Queensways to Oxley..that really stuck with me. I thought it was really sweet!)

Pineapple tarts! Zhi's mum makes one of the best pineapple tarts! I feel so loved! Thanks dear..next time when you go away..(US) I'll send pineapple tarts up for you too!

I was at Kiruna last weekend!...It was one relaxing and beautiful winter weekend...
I'm going to miss waking up to wonderful colours in the sky.
We started off at lappis...Bernice came to send us off!
one-thousand, two-thousand, three-thousand..grenade! (Doesn't she look like a bomb shell heh)
The people on the trip... Sriram-Am i really going to Kiruna?
Dilip-'Skiing is better than snow boarding MAN...'
Leon-Camera man
Observant Edwin: 'aye, yellow-blue.yellow blue..Sweden colours!!'
Pre-flight drinking. Is Leon licking the glass?
After One hour and 20 mins, we are at the Kiruna Airport. Small Small place! First time travelling with no passport!
And a small plane too..

Our hotel...
The reception. It was a nice and homely small hotel. Nothing grand...But nice. =)
We were situation next to the train station..Sriram hopped on, and clinged on to the back, like how Indians do in India....(heh kidding)
Tied to the tracks, who's going to save me from the oncoming train?

Ice tables and ice chairs to chill in the middle of town. (and 2 lonely cans of beer on the table)
Eating out in the cold? We were that hungry...

BREAKFAST!!lots of breakfast meat, jam, milk, coffee, eggs...
Now we're off to an exciting day......
Pretty aye? (I'm talking about the hearts!)
The streets were lined with really cute houses or cottages. Very different from housing estates in Singapore. I felt like I was walking through a town in The Sims..(Clarice do the houses look familiar to you?)
The child in us couldn't help not sliding down these slopes with a mat or a ..bath tub?
This looks like something from Calvin and Hobbes?
After all that exercise, it's nice to be relaxing in the snow?
Snow was about 1m deep, while racing up a snow 'hill', I got stuck!
Snow dive time.....
Frustrated with beer in Singapore not being cold for long? This is what we do here for quick and easy chilling!
It's no fun sleeping at Ice Hotel...

Back to the hotel to prepare for....SNOW MOBIL!
But first, stop and admire the view...

Some pre-'racing' ritual? haha they look like bulls!
A stop at a hut to have nice warm coffee and sandwiches
Our humourous guides. It was a fun experience. We got to see the northern lights. but sadly, no pictures.
The next morning, we went skiing!
Tired and scared to go up the slope to fall and get up, fall and get up...
Later..i managed to balance! whee!
Edwin too......Good job!
