Something I'll share, from the Father at St. Eugenia:
Lenten fasts have a tendency to be oriented toward things like giving up food or television. But there are many other creative ways we can welcome Jesus’ healing touch this Lent. Below are some suggestions you may want to consider.

1. Fast from anger and hatred. Give your family an extra dose of love each day.
2. Fast from judging others. Before making judgments, recall how Jesus overlooks
our faults.
3. Fast from discouragement. Hold on to Jesus’ promise that he has a perfect plan
for your life (Jer. 29:11).
4. Fast from complaining. When you find yourself about to complain, close your
eyes and recall some of the little moments of joy Jesus has given you.
5. Fast from resentment or bitterness. Work on forgiving those who may have hurt
you.
6. Fast from spending too much money. Try to reduce your spending by ten
percent and give these savings to the poor.

For my father who is concerned about how work life is like for me, and those who are interested back home..here's a little glimps at life at Mabtech.

We've got a wonderufl view and it's facing the sea. Sometimes, i stare out of the window to see the viking cruise (cheap alcohol boat trip) go by and on the opposite side it is a big park called Djurgården, where you can take morning runs. (like our Bontanics).
I've got a collegue who's into doing potraits. He draws everyone in the office. This is one of me, done during a Fika (Coffee Break in swedish). So, does it look like me?

With a view like this and collegues who are so welcoming, it makes going to work more enjoyable. =)

The Singaporean guys would love to know that in Stockholm, Valentine's Day is practically non-exisitant! Unlike Singapore where advertisements are just IN YOUR FACE, nice restuarants are fully booked and almost every girl on the streets is holding a bouquet of flowers (which suddenly cost 3 times the normal),no one
celebrates this day here.Lucky me got flowers, which didn't cost much. Right Dear?=)
Well, I didn't celebrate V-day in Stockholm, Although It would have be absolutely lovely to be walking hand in hand in the streets of Europe and sipping coffee in the cafes. But I had something more 'interesting' to attend to:

International Student's Dinner at the City Hall.
At the City Hall you will find the Blue Hall. The Blue Hall is where the nobel prizes are given out where a celebration dinner is held.(Cool aye?)
It was a buffet style dinner. The dinner was GOOD!
Images of the place....
The Entrance.......

The Second Floor.......

Some pictures of paintings on the walls!

The exterior of the City Hall..if you observe closely, the lake is HALF frozen! it's a beautiful sight!

Us at dinner..........................

It was one photo-whoring session...

Sriram, our senior, one of the photo whores in the group!

One of my favourite photos for the night..........(below)

We were NOT drunk! Although we may look like it!

It felt like February the 14th. And not Valentine's Day. A different feeling and a different way of looking at 14th Feb ....

You girls weren't there at the airport when i had to unpack as my luggage was very overweight. In the process I took out quite a few things...Eunice would be glad to know that I have received my HAIR DRYER in a parcel sent by my mummy.

So everytime I look at it, I can think of you. HAHA
Don't you feel special? heh

The Usual Supermarket Gang! Long trips, but only it's fun because of them!

A Special Picture taken for Donovan! They've got so much cheese dear! You'll be one happy man inthis supermarket!!

Mummy: Look! The tomatoes look really fresh!
Had to make the words larger so that my mummy can see. ssssh..heh

Grocery shopping in Singaporee is a lot better! Prices are way cheaper in Singapore. You can't find fresh, from the market, meat or fish here. And, if you do, it is very expensive! But we're surviving well! very well in fact with whatever we can find to cook. Im really proud of our dinners. It's a proper meal and it's something to look forward to after a long day at work!

The Tunnelbanna, subway in Stockholm.

The train system is very efficient. Plus you can check what time and when the trains would come on..www.sl.se This includes the bus schedule too! SO, by right, one should not be late. by right.
Grocerry shopping!

When we first arrived at Lappis! (where we live)

This is the 'scenic' lake behind Lappis.

It started snowing (barely) the day we arrived. It was all so exciting (then)..

Day 2...At Gamla Stan. (Old Town of Stockholm)

(A pretty lane with Christmas deco still up)
A Protestant-German Church
Replicas of these colourful buildings are made and sold to tourist!
I won't have to go to Botanic Gardens to see this! They are everywhere! Edwin and Vig's duck is called....?
